BONDAP LTD (company SC649467) provides software as a service to public and private sector customers. We believe that every business is responsible for good environmental practice, and we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as part of how we run the company.
We have no premises of our own: our staff work remotely, and our services run in third-party UK data centres. Our main environmental impacts are the energy used by the hosting of our services, our staff's equipment and home working, and business travel.
We will:
- Comply with, and where practicable exceed, the requirements of environmental legislation and codes of practice that apply to us.
- Reach net zero emissions by 2034, as set out in our published Carbon Reduction Plan (baseline 3.85 tCO2e in 2025), and report progress each year.
- Host our services with data-centre providers that manage their environmental impact; our primary UK data centre (Erith) holds ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 and is supplied with 100 % renewable, REGO-matched electricity.
- Design and run our software efficiently, so that it uses no more computing resources, storage and network capacity than it needs.
- Prefer remote meetings to travel; when travel is needed, choose public transport where practicable.
- Minimise waste: extend the life of equipment, and reuse or recycle equipment and consumables through certified routes.
- Consider environmental impact when buying products and services, and encourage our suppliers, customers and partners to do the same.
- Assess the environmental impact of new services or significant changes before we introduce them.
- Make sure all staff understand this policy and their part in it, as part of induction and annual refresher training.
- Deal promptly with any concern raised about a breach of this policy.
- Review this policy at least once a year, and whenever our activities change significantly.
The Director and CEO is accountable for this policy. Every member of staff is responsible for following it.
